Scourge of War Boards

Hi folks ...

I almost exclusively play in the sandbox and prefer firing up battles where I command a division with one or two batteries. Needless to say the units available in the sandbox now are very limited. When the official update comes out, perhaps you could make all of the units in the OOB available for sandbox play.

By the way, I do not download, play or make mods, so that isn't an option for me. I would like this option available in the official version of the game.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the units available in the sandbox now are very limited". Do you mean they are limited when you chose a division size battle? All units should be available. You should get the correct commanders, regiments etc., as shown on the setup screen, but the numbers are adjusted to balance the forces for each side.

Hi ... Sorry, I wasn't clear. It would be great if you could choose whatever combination of units you want to use in a sandbox battle. For example, pick any infantry division and one or two batteries, and maybe even a cavalry brigade (together).

Now you can only choose from the set menu. Only the first day OOB allows you to use one infantry division and batteries together. On the other days it is an infantry division OR batteries, unless you want to pick an entire corp. I prefer division-size scenarios. I find corp-sized battles are be too big.

Good idea to be able to pick and choose which ever forces you want. That's something that would require a big overhaul to the system though. Hopefully something for a future patch. I do know there is a request to have the option to disable the balancing of the forces so you never know how large or small the force will be that you're facing.

Use these OOBs, they all have infantry and artillery mixed, are balanced between the two sides, and use lots of different units, not just the first day's units.
