SHOOT OVER - their heads???

Post by J Canuck »

I haven’t been around much since I seem to be having never-ending wireless problems with my rig (Little Powell and RebBuglar), which I’m still working on resolving. I just got lucky and connected.

My question has probably been answered, but I have tried the forum’s search function and I have searched everywhere else I can think with no success.

What does it mean when the following unfavourable red head icon appears in the Status Box stating: Shoot Over?

My best guess is that a portion of my regiment is being blocked from hitting its target by another friendly regiment. If I am correct, does the hit ratio vary depending upon the number of sprites in my regiment that are being blocked?

Actually that icon is a good thing. It means the selected regiment is shooting over another friendly regiment. If their height is at least 20 ft above a regiment in front of them, they can shoot over them.

Duuuh ..... :S

That did cross my mind, but I didn't think out of the box and link it with terrain height.

That's a great add-on. I presume this is the same for artillery firing over the heads of infantry.

Many thanks.
