Activation Code Miscue

This has probably been addressed already, so pardon me if it is repetition. Last night I tried purchasing an activation code for a friend through "share-it." I gave my billing address and my credit card information, but I gave my friend's email and info as the recipient. My purchase was declined and I was told by share-it that I needed to correct my information and re-send it. And yes, the credit card works--no problem there.

So, how do I purchase an activation code for another person? Has anyone here done this? Thanks for any help.

Maybe you could give him your activation code, then buy a new one for yourself?

EDIT; Or buy a code then email it to your friend.

If you are going to buy another, just do it for yourself. If you are making the purchase, you should own the code. Then you can give it to him if you want. The decline was because they are going to verify the information you provided with your credit card information, any store would do the same thing.

So if you give him your current code, or the next one you purchase, doesn't matter. So do what works best for you.

Thanks!

Hi.

I had my brother purchase the game for me, and he just forwarded all of the information to my email account. If I have any problems, I have everything I need too let Norb know owns what, if there is ever a need to correct an activation problem.

Cheers....

The only time any of this comes up is when you lose your code. Then we just want an email from the account that bought the code. This is just to protect you from someone stealing your code. If your email changed, we can look up some other stuff in the store records to verify it's you. We just want to protect your purchase. But we try to keep good records of the emails to the codes so that we can look up people's code if they lose them. So far it's only happened once :)

I took care of it. Send my code to my friend, then bought another for myself.
