Blood Mod & Musket Smoke Mod (Release 1) Download Ready!!! (UPDATED)

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Nice mod mikesla. The blood looks great. I especially like the color.. Not to sound morbid, but it's a very realistic color (as opposed to the bright red blood you see in some games).

I do prefer the original smoke though, but I can see where you going with it. Anyway you can have a version with the original smoke?

Thank you Little Powell.

Having good words from you means allot to me.

You are right Little Powell, I'll keep the two edits separate. The two edits are now up for download as separate mods.

I've tried many different colors but this one seemed to work best.

I'm looking at something a little different for my next battlefield edit. It's going to be more detailed.

Thanks Little Powell.

The Blood looks great Mikesla espesialy when they take a hit on the chest. Some of those guys would seriously need a blood transfusion fast  The more blood and gore the better so this mod gets the thumbs up from me.

You have to watch to see where it's saving it. Chances are if you download again, it will ask to save to the same place and make sure you note the location. I prefer to save things to my desktop, install, then file it a way, delete it, or whatever.

Thanks, Matt.

Well, found it, in the MOD folder (after following your advice) but unlike the other MODS, can't seem to get it "into" the game. Rather then a "FILE FOLDER", it remains a RAR...and I have absolutely no idea what to do with it!

You'll need to unrar it to the mods folder. You can download winrar or z-zip. They both handle rar files. Just unrar it just like you would a zip file.

Thanks guys for all your kind words, I really do appreciate it allot.

This version is only an alpha, and I'm working to tighten up how the blood is displayed. There is a couple of things I have noticed I need to tweak. I'm looking to add individual bullet hits to the bodies as well with blood of course.

There is one thing I have noticed with editing these files is that the smallest pixel shows up in-game, which makes the editing the files easier, and gives me more room to use my imagination.

Again, thank you for your kind words.

Cheers...
