Missing intro, ending & multiplayer music

My new computer arrived and I installed the game. Wow, it loads so fast now and I have no lagging issues anymore. But for some reason I no longer hear the music playing during the Intro, Ending and Multiplayer screens. I see the music files in the folder and all the game sounds are there. Everything else seems to be running fine. Anyone have any solutions? Thanks.

Are you able to play the music file in the media player? Do other MP3 files work there too?

Yes, I am able to play music in the windows media player. I even played the intro, end and multiplayer music files in the game folder just to make sure they worked.

It could be an issue with DirectShow. Did you install DirectX 9.0c?

I am running DirectX 11 which came installed on the computer.

It should be backward compatible, but in some cases it doesn't work properly with games that require a DirectX 9 installation.

So I have a DirectX that it better than what is required and it won't work? Okay, it's no biggie since the game runs fine and loads super quick now. With my old computer the music would end before the game even loaded a scenario.

I did not install the older version on my win7 machine and it all works. But I'm wondering if at some point they stop supporting certain things. This is one disadvantage of direct download games, because on a CD you can include all the supporting software.

Would a CD be available in the future?

That would end my problem.
