TC clarification, please

If I TC a regiment and march it to exactly where I want it(say, in the rear of an enemy regiment), do I then have to un-TC it before it will actually fire on said enemy regiment?

I'm just trying to figure out if there are any hidden "gotchas" when you TC a regiment.

They will fire IF the enemy unit is within their firing arc (ie they are facing the enemy unit), BUT if they are attacked from an enemy unit that comes closer then their target, they WILL NOT wheel to face the closer target. This can cause them to take enfilade fire causing them to break and probably rout. Just what you were trying to do to the enemy.
