Marching music

This aspect of the game sound puzzles me. All the "March" sound files in the "Sound" folder are fine.I went to each of these and increased the volume.
But when I play, the response in game varies apparently according to the units involved. With some brigades the road march music is excellent and consistent and a good repertoire is played. But with others there is no sign of any music at all.
At first I thought "bug" but then in more magnanimous mood I wondered whether it was intentional and that the music "triggers" were only applied to certain brigades (or certain locations or certain OOBs) and that the music was only intended to be present on some occasions.
I would welcome a response from any team member who can clarify this situation.
