Command query in Sandbox battles

In sandbox battles I always find 1 or 2 superior officers with the units (eg in brigade action you find your Div.general and corps commander)
They sometimes just stay at the starting point but occasionally they have moved off and arrived at the objective before my brigade. Often they get killed along with a score of spawned replacements but also ,by their presence, cause the defensive units and theur positions to be revealed .So this is both unrealistic and spoils the realism for the attacker .
I noticed that the Div. General had amongst others a TC button----could I as the brigade commander TC this Div General and order him to stop and not foray off unrealistically ahead of the attacking brigade---doesnt seem acceptable military procedure but how else can he be prevented from the really unrealistic and game-spoiling swanning ahead to the objective first.
NB I raised part of this issue earlier in thr "Possible Bugs" forum.

Are you sure that you are the brig commander and that there is a TC button on the superior's toolbar?

Just finished a sandbox game Pettigrew v Slocum.
1/2 mile south of Gettysburg town along the Emmitsburg road, what a fight that was, just when I thought I had got em on the run a couple of union regiments appeared out of some woods on my flank and rear! Good God Norb this AI plays real dirty!! aint yer ashamed of yerself ;)

Brilliant game loving every minute of it! scenery first rate!

A.Dukes----On this occasion Iam sure it was a brigade action and the Div general did have an orders display ---but certainly on all other occasions there have been no order display for me to try and use.
But the really important and worrying bug is the tendency for these officers to ride off and reach the target first-most being killed along with a score of spawned substitutes and also at the same time revealing all the enemy positions and units---
which is a spoiler for the attacker in his task to uncover the positions with his own approach and tactics---I hope these superior officers can be eliminated from the sitn or coded to stay put or follow the brigade only.
Thanks
