SOW vs TC2M

Firstly I have to say guys you have excelled yourselves - A hearty congratulations on a phenomenal game - I think its far to say that my copy of Empire total war will be gathering dust for the for-seeable future! - Some of the changes made are fantastic -The firing line, no longer does it matter if my regiments clash - something that could get really frustrating in TC2M also the lingering smoke from muskets and cannon fire adds to drama and spectacle. The mounted officers have discovered that life is precious and are far less suicidal and the AI is far more responsive and attack in line from distance which is far more historically correct. BUT the biggest change of all is just the look of it! Somethimes I forget about playing the game and just admire the scenery!!!!
Is it perfect?... Well no - But I expect that there will be plenty of changes when the patches come out - One thing I noticed in the Heth scenario on day one if a cannon is destroyed the cannon disappears - there is no wreckage like in TC2M, also not too keen on some of the cannon explosion effects - although I do like the fact that they now scar the landscape. I'm also slightly disappointed that some of the more famous characters have not be personalised ie Buford, Heth, Reynolds ect. I was also hoping that there would be horse holders for the cavalry and aid stations and civilians would have been a nice touch - however these are mere minor quibbles - I'm sure that once some of those ingenious modders get going the sky's the limit.
I just wondered once you opened the game up if you had any plans for a map editor for the game? Personally I pay $30 - $40 for a developers kit if this was included!!
