A Question on Maps
He All,
Here's a weedy kinda of thought. Is it possible to convert the fabulous Gettysburg maps here in SOWGB to a type usable in TC2M? I took a look and except for the Bitmap part, the other 3 parts are the same. Just a thought...
Thanks.

The other game ( i.e…TC2M ), use’s a ( jpg ) file for the terrain, this game use’s ( splats ), consisting of the following…..
(RGB1) – water, streambed,darkgrass
(RGB2) – stone1,macadam,dirt
(RGB3) – stonewall,woods,field-wheat
(RGB4) - ????? this might be an Alpha-Channel – I don’t really know!!!!!
It appears that each (RGB) can load three different sprites, which makes the terrain look a whole lot better, being able to show things like a cracked road, etc…
So, trying to convert one game over to the next will probably be next to impossible, due to the coding that each game requires loading the specific files.
It may prove better to find out what they do have in common, and convert those items over to the other game, but there is always that one person that will find a way to do the impossible.

Well, take into account that I have absolutely zero knowledge when it comes to this game, other then that, I’ll respond with my thoughts. He All,

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!

nope to the Alpha channel - there are none, except for the fact that Lstudio ignores all non-R/G/B areas (i.e., black).(RGB4) - ????? this might be an Alpha-Channel – I don’t really know!!!!!
RGB4 is the field plate (corn/wheat/etc) and the rocky area.

Re:A Question on Maps
It wouldn't be hard at all to use the SOWGB maps in TC2M. However, the scale is smaller in SOWGB I would think, correct me if I'm wrong, it just would make sense since the troop ratio is 1:4 instead of 1:10.

wouldn't it be even better to convert the TC2M maps to SOW?

Re:A Question on Maps
I have a question here on maps and orders. In the orders u can tell a unit to move to a certain location. Now I do not remember where, or whos farm it is, is at. So I was hoping to have a map that gave the location of the Land marks so that it would coincide with the orders sent.
