game cursor icon?

So what is the cursor icon?? :unsure: For the life of me I still haven't figured it out yet. Is it a canon barrel? :unsure: Is it a telescope? :blink: A bayonet?? :dry: A blackjack? :huh:

I believe you're referring to the icon during game set up. I meant to say I was talking about the ingame icon. It's silver color.

Though this in-game cursor looks very appropriate I find it very difficult to place the tip precisely on the ikon required. It seems particularly difficult to place accurately on the "wheel" ikon which is a very frequently needed manoeuvre and usually needs to be done swiftly and accurately in the heat of battle . I personally would prefer a straighter clearer pointer. And in factI would actually prefer a different way to select "wheel" and how much. the method seems ponderous and time consuming as well as it being difficult to be precise. How about a setup where you just use a mouse-drag of a clear directional ikon instead of all this series of clicks on a spot difficult to locate.
Not an earth-shattering issue but worth improving if possible Any ideas of a way to make this order easier and clearer to implement??

Ok, that is a bayonet seen in perspective or on the diagonal whichever term you prefer.

The period and comma keys are your friend.
1 key press = 2 clicks

Aha! Found it! Simply amazing for this computer illiterate. See several alternatives to cursor choice. Now, how do I select one of these to replace the current one?

The file names of the cursors used by the game are listed in the cursors.txt (e.g. "game.cur - used for unit and terrain selection").

Keep the name in mind and rename the corresponding file (in order to have a backup). Choose the new cursor you want to use (e.g. knife.cur) and give the file the name of the initial file (e.g. game.cur).
