The font used in the courier orders is very florid and probably close to what we may have seen in 1863. But for clarity's sake, I would prefer to read my dispatches in a more basic style...like Verdana. Is there a way to change the font?

Not yet without the SDK files.

Thanks for the speedy reply, ADukes!

See now, that's interesting. I want to go in the opposite direction. I found a handwriting font called Lamar Pen that looks civil war period I'd like to use. If my file attachment attempt is successful, you can see it below. [file name=July_1st.doc size=24576]

OK...that didn't work. How does the file attachment option on the bottom of the reply box work???

Looks like you did attach it as image file. Try the other one and pay attention to the max. file size.

OK, I'll try the attachment again. It's a gif file, size is 27KB. I'll try and attach it as an image.

just goes to show how everyone's taste is different...
FWIW, we did attempt to go with a more handwriting-style font towards AJ's suggestion, but we could not overcome the limitations of the font rendering application that comes packaged with the SDK; so be forewarned that your nice handwriting font might not come out as you expect it to.

I have great faith that the pooled talent of the NSD team will overcome any temporary roadblocks they may have come upon regarding font options and will provide us with an option within the game in an upcoming patch to allow us to choose from several fonts (including the highly desirable "Lamar Pen") for our courier messages.
