MD5 hash file to avoid corrupt download/installation?

Hi Folks
Considering that it seems like some people can have corrupted downloads that only becomes obvious during gameplay then why not provide a MD5 hash for the file so that people can check to make sure the file downloaded is perfect.
The link below is to an app that would be useful for this at both ends.
