DID YOU KNOW: The average regiment carrying approximately 45 pounds of equipment would average 3 miles an hour?
DID YOU KNOW: The common step for infantry was 70 yards in a minute (90 steps); 86 yards at quick time (110 steps); 109 yards at the Double-Quick (140 steps), all covering "smooth" ground?

I've been in over my head since I was born. I just blame my bad grammar and spelling on old age . . . and the fact I'm a good ole boy from Kentucky . . . most people, when they find that out think; "Yup, that pretty much explains it."
