Anybody like Whiskey?

Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.

Anybody like Whiskey?

Post by Gunfreak »

I have lately decided to learn to like whiskey,

I tried a few blended scotchs and didn't like it at all, then I got a bottle of jim beam(that acutaly cost $50 in norway)

It was ok, but has ALOT of taste, then I did the big one, and got a $90 bottle of Lagavulin 16 year single malt scotch, now that was smooth

I like some whiskeys, Jim Beam is great and I love a good Scotch (but it has to be good Scotch, the cheap stuff is horrible). But I'm mostly a beer man.. It's all about quality not quantity with me. Love a good German import, Sam Adams, or other local micro brews. Upstate SC actually has several GREAT micro breweries.

I've always wanted to do that.. I still plan to do it sometime, and maybe you can give me some pointers. :)

A friend of mine makes a great Ale that he named "Blackbeard's Ale". VERY high in alcohol content, yet still very smooth.

Lagavulin is a peated scotch iirc, if you like that, you might want to try Talisker too.

I like Dalwhinnie, a smooth Highland scotch.

As for beers, we got quite a variety in Belgium & we're proud of it. If you ever get to taste some, let me know what you think

cheers

Belgians are my hands-down favorite to brew; it actually feels like you're cooking something, you can throw all kinds of stuff in those beers. Saisons are really fun.
