Don't know if this has been posted before, but it is a link to the official records of the Civil War. I have been using it for a research paper. Very interesting and really brings you into the moment.
Cheers

Great find! I'm writing something about Second Manassas and figured I'd read the records, until I realized that the entire campaign is covered in the range of about 2,000 pages!

I have been digging in that area for ages! Troops armament, numbers, etc.
Very useful for modding... though I shouldn't give you any hints on anything I'm developing.

I am working on the communication between Lincoln and McClellan. There are 3 sections just for the Peninsula Campaign and the 1st sections is 1400 pages. It is a wonderful thing...

I have it even better. About 10 years ago I was able to get The Official Records on CD from Guild Press. Have both the Army and Navy records along with the Atlas. Definitely comes in handy when researching something.
