Re: crash during game setup... after chain in command or some such

Downloaded the mod. Got in the mod folder as required. While booting up, the game crashes to desktop at about the point it says "after chain in command" or some such. I saw someone else post this elsewhere. Can't find what the answer to the problem was though. Any help will be appreciated.
The Culp/Cemetery Hill scenarios work just fine though. Good stuff. Harry Hays obliterated the Yankees on my July 2 replay. Smashed a nice big hole in the line.
Any problems reported elsewhere were addressed and fixed. But you could have found a different problem. Does this happen when you try to start the first scenario? Can you post the contents of your sowgb.log file after the crash? That log file is in Work.
Will dig around and try to find it. It crashes while loading up the first scenario, yes.

Ok thanks. It must be a bad install or something because no one else has reported any bugs in a while.. And I've tested the series several times recently, and no crashes or errors found..
Make sure you unzip it straight to your mods directory. Some folks will drag/drop etc., and that can cause problems.

Hi LP!
I get perhaps 5 minutes into the second scenario, and the game crashes on me. It's done it twice thus far. The odd thing is that it's not a CTD initially. Instead, I lose control of all my units and the command buttons disappear. The box thereafter resembles the AI options as if my units converted to AI control. When I try to play the game off a save, but it CTDs when I hit the space bar to start the scenario. I just installed the new patch last evening (1.103).
I forgot how to create a log, but I'll attach a save.

I'm unable to play the save game because I don't have the mods you have installed.
Can you do me a favor and disable all other mods accept for the AP Hill series, and then start the scenario. If it still crashes, can you then grab the save for me?
I hope this isn't another carryover bug. I may ask you to send me your CONT file too, but first lets check out that save without other mods enabled.

I wanted to try it a few more times and see if I could get it to work. But alas, no. I usually get 6 or so minutes in before all my units switch to AI---even A.P.Hill. I'm including several saves from the same game thinking that might help you narrow down the issue. The CONT file is attached as well.
Man, I hope I don't lose the carryover. I had over 18,000 points, and completely decimated the Federal 1st Corps.

Here's the remaining attachments:
Edit: Why is the system not attaching the zip files?

Incredibly strange issue..
So far I'm not getting any problems with the saves. I have loaded all three, waited 15-30 minutes. No crashes, and I'm not losing control of any units... So it's not something with the scenarios but with your game..
Just want to confirm that all other mods are disabled on your game.
Also, I'd also like to rule out the cont file.. After you zip the Cont file, is it still pretty large? I think there's a limit to how big attachments can be. If so, you try emailing it to me. Check your PM for my email address.

Thank you, sir. An email has been sent with the CONT file, + one additional save (the last save prior to the crash).
Yes, I do have all mods except A.P.Hill disabled.
I was thinking, I updated from 1.102 to 1.103 between playing the two scenarios. Do you think that might have caused a hiccup in the programming?
Anyhow, if there are ultimately no issues with the CONT file and saves, what would you recommend I do? Thanks for all your help!
Best,
Gary

I didn't get the email. Did you send it to the address I gave you in the PM?
