That doesn't really help. In the last few years events that for decades were called "incidents", "affairs" or "skirmishes" are now called battles, usually because of local historians or tourism groups trying to "raise awareness" of the event.

Heck, it's gotten to the point now that in Virginia if there were more than three people from each side there and something was shot/farted/projected/uttered from one to the other it was a "battle." :laugh:

Simple solution, if the Rebs won...it's a battle, if the Yanks won...it's a skirmish. B)

LOL, and some of us still call the Falklands War the Falklands Incident. It makes it sound like a minor traffic accident.
