Thank you Sir.:)

Since we're on the naval subject, I'll stick with it.......

On her first sortie, what 3 Union ships did the CSS Virginia:

1) Burn
2) Sink
3) Run aground

The CSS Virginia blew up the USS Cumberland, ran aground the USS Minnesota, and the USS Congress was surrendered after a long barrage by the Virginia.

I knew going to the Monitor Museum would come in handy ;)

Alright let's see. Ok. At Malvern Hill there was a battery commander who posted his guns right on the summit of Malvern Hill and poured fire and destruction into the oncoming Confederates. He had posted his battery of four 12-pounders so far forward that numerous times Federal Infantry had to be used in support. For his efforts however, the battery commander was given the Medal of Honor. Who is the brave Artillery Commander?

All I'm gonna say is:

GO HENRY HUNT, THE BEST ARTILLERIST IN THE WAR!!!

Take notes off of him, to beat me in the artillery arm. (oops, should be in Trash Talk!)

Henry Hunt commanded all of the artillery, yes. But I'm looking for an individual battery commander.

I wasn't giving you the answer. Just thought it was a good place to place an artillery commander in the spotlight!
