Beta Patch

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

Well, patch has been downloaded!

Did I just load an entirely new game? I see that the default cursor has replaced my "chosen" cursor. Just curious.

Thanks, Boston, for joining me in the "Peanut Gallery" regard CTD!

Thanks, Norb. Will try the same game settings from the "crash."

Thanks, DaVinci, for pointing out the obvious to me...I did not see the User and Password in the original site.

Now that I've gotten the game to operate consistently, should I dl the patch? I don't want to disturb anything

Ya know, I was in the same boat  as you at that point, then along comes the "HEAD Honcho", suggesting to DL the patch, being a good soldier I followed Norb's advice. :)

Hi.
No, this is not your problem, it's mine.
I'll wait for the full release before I download.
Thanks.
DO like I used to do years ago, find someone with a higher speed internet, and have them download the file, and save it onto a cd .

This will also work as a back-up copy!

BTW : The beta-patch - will stop a lot of the earlier CTD that many have experienced.

Hi davinci.

Yeah, I asked one of my friends to download the patch for me. Thanks

It's the only way for now. It just so happens to be the only one that has a highspeed connection, and hates DRM worse than I do....oh well.

Trying to get the rest of my friends on board with this title...tall order to fill with these guys.

Cheers...!!

I assume it all worked out?

That's something you have me on! I'm still studying this game and how it compares to the previous ventures. I would add that in posts spread around the forum threads, that the Beta patch made for gameplay improvements. I have Rock solid confidence in Norb that he would not steer anybody on the Forum in the wrong direction to disrupt his own game development. That being said, I too like to keep my game as virgin as possible to avoid crap that could corrupt it. I would not blame you for not DL'ing anything, however, Norb posted the Beta patch has fixed some of the bugs members have come across. Those are the bugs I do not want to have to experience unecessarily and bitch about later on. Follow your own heart and mind as to what YOU want to do.

Good luck, BOSTON :)

I am working hard to keep the patches very clean. No new stuff, just fixes. I released the beta patch so soon because it fixes crashes and nothing sucks worse than playing an mp game and having it crash out on you after an hour. We are also testing it all before we release. This first patch is VERY safe and many have been using it for a little while now.

Just bump since some players have been encountering bugs and not knowing the patch is out yet.

Hi there I dont know if this is a known bug related to the patch or if it was already there - on scenario 11 McClaws "We must take the guns" the game loads fine and then crashes after about five minutes play - I have a high spec machine and have had no problems previously i7 chip and 2TB memory 1TB graphic card ect- has anyone else had this issue?
