This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.
Hey Davinci. Another request, if doable. Would it be possible to expand 2 or 3 of the farms to the size of small towns? Or would it muck-up the frame rate?
I try to gauge things by how much is showing on the screen if you take a screenshot. So, as long as there is a little distance between the buildings, then it shouldn't be a major problem.

Many thanks Davinci. That'll be just dandy.

Hey Martin after changing the road system to the lighter shade of brown, I had to change around most of the other textures, I had too many textures linked together, My Bad!
But, the good news is that I think it looks a lot better after switching some around, so Thanks for that suggestion about changing the roads.

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!
In reply to your comment about units being all jumbled up at Corps level, I believe there is no way to fix it.
I noticed this right off in the old TC2M days. If you just give your Division/Corps/Whatever orders to follow their Commander on the road, that's what happens. All units go to the road and just start marching.
What I always do is take the time to move each Brigade/Battery down the road on its own (this is at Division Level Command. Harder to do if you are a Corps Commander). I do this for several reasons - 1) It's historically correct. 2) It takes time to get troops going, just like real life. 3) Troops arrive in the order they should, again historically correct. 4) YOU get to decide their Order of March, ie: which Brigade is your Advance Guard, do they need a Battery in support, (you have to unattach it so it will move quick enough), get your Cav out front to scout, (like it was supposed to), etc. I'm just kind of old fashioned that way, I guess.
Anyway, give it a try.

Dav - Sorry to not have tried out the map yet. Haven't had time to get the new (grrrr...) patch installed yet and put in the damn codes. Will get there eventually. Looking forward to it.
