Re: Coming Soon - Pipe Creek Map Pack
I was just wondering if French's troops from Harper's Ferry will be in the OOB. I think Huey's cavalry brigade should be in the oob as the closer the armies moved to Washington the stronger the Union would have been. So, I was just wondering.
I cannot remember if French has 10k or 20k with him. I need to look it up myself, but I think it was a command infantry, artillery, and cavalry.

Interesting! Maybe our friend alessillo could be persuaded in this quest. If he builds the French sprites, LP and/or I will design some inclusive battles for sure.I was just wondering if French's troops from Harper's Ferry will be in the OOB. French's troops were one of the reasons Hooker resigned the AOP command. Hooker wanted those troops in his army. Halleck refused to abandon Harper's Ferry and to place those troops in Hookers command. When Meade took over he was given French's troops and ordered the abandonment of Harper's ferry. Halleck was trying to get rid of Hooker.

You might also add a few brigades and or regiments that were left behind from the Army of Northern Virginia. I think Ransom's brigade was not included in Picketts Division. Beauregard was used as a decoy but he did assemble a few troops near Manassas? Just a thought.

Pickett's division may have been the largest in the army, but he left two brigades behind and therefore became the smallest. Maybe a bit lucky for those left behind or you can argue maybe they would have made a difference on day 3 at Getty.
There were also confederate cavalry brigades that were left along the way and since Stuart was not properly leading them they could also be brought into any oob.

The second brigade of the Pennsylvania Reserves Division was also in Washington D.C. and was never returned to the field with their brothers. Perhaps they could be included in Crawford's division for this "what if?" scenario.

Re: Coming Soon - Pipe Creek Map Pack
We are using the same base OOBs that we used for Gettysburg. The reason being; this is a What-If battle that is taking place under the same exact circumstances as Gettysburg but the only difference is; the battle is fought in one day along Meade's proposed Pipe Creek Line. So there are no extra units, and Pickett is still en route to join up with the rest of the army when the battle takes place.
This doesn't mean that more what if scenarios and OOBs can be created afterwards once it's released that can include French's troops, Ransom, etc.

JC is right. It took a little longer than we expected to prepare the game to accept the add-ons, but I'm hoping we'll have everything done this week for a release (keeping fingers crossed).
