it's the lobby.dat file in the work folder that causes the runtime error.

Wow out of all of the files that's one that I would least expect..it's the lobby.dat file in the work folder that causes the runtime error.
I'm sure Norb will be interested in this. Good detective work and I'm glad you got it figured out.

That's very odd, thank you for looking into this. We will add it to our support knowledge. You can delete that file anytime you want. There is nothing in there that won't be recreated.

Davinci could be right. Had a similar problem when I got lazy and let my fans clog up a while back. These days we are so near the limits of processor speed that regular cleaning is a must.

I don't intend to be critical, but your video card is part of any FPS etc issues, first, as was already pointed out, it shares system RAM, but second is that the "4330" series cards are relatively slow. Second digit = processor speed relative to others in the same series. My current card is a 4950, so ... you might consider a new video card, even upgrading to a 47xx or 45xx would greatly improve your video and display handling as well as increasing your video RAM to avoid the necessity for RAM sharing. The sharing thing uses CPU 'flops' to access 'video RAM' that is actually your system RAM. Hope it's working without the "Black Screen of Death" feature now.
