Runtimer Error and SOW - Problems

Did you update AVG and its virus database to the latest version?

You probably have to restore the deleted SCPWIN32.dll file from AVG Virus Vault:
- Open AVG user interface.
- Choose "Virus Vault" option from the "History" menu.
- Locate the file that was incorrectly removed and select it (one click).
- Click on the "Restore" button.

Make and post screenshots of AVG's exception window.

i got the game uninstalled and am working on it right now. it was weird because it wasn't showing up in the virus vault.

Still doesn't work.. As in fails during install? Crashes when you start the game? Gives you an error message?

This is one of those times when I wish I could just be in front of your machine. Completely uninstalling, removing all traces of the game, re-installing will (not should) make it work again. There has to be something your missing..

I'm very confused by this. Did you download and run the demo before purchasing? Did the demo run? I mean can you run the demo game at all, without worrying about activation or anything like that?

Have you posted your log files? They are in your work folder.

Did I hear that right? Did someone say: the virus scanner may have changed the files!

If this is the case, I just need to reinstall, prevent my virus scanner from running during reinstall, and I should be able to play.

it crashes directly on startup before i even see the main menu. i had the patch installed before it started crashing on me. the demo worked when i bought it then a few days later i used my paycheck to buy the full game.
