Whenever I have crashes that are related to the OOB it has always been due to my mis-numbering of the army/corps/div leaders. There may be some subtle error introduced when doing the re-numbering. That has always been my failure mode.Maybe someone can see what I am doing wrong.... and provide some enlightenment. I have not located any step by step instruction for doing an OOB mod.

The SDK manual that is currently out gives the folder structure that you need, (last page).I guess I'm doing something wrong at a basic level. Perhaps I should wait until the Mod Guide comes out?

Yes, thanks.
I think I'm getting there. Might be something as simple as a miss name...oob instead of OOB.

Re:SOWGB SDK v1.0
Yes, thanks, I saw that.
My "mod" appears in modifications as Jackson, but in User Scenarios as Three times.....mod, which is my rename. Do I need to give it a more distinct rename? It plays with the original OOB, without modification, which is puzzling.

On line 20 of scenario.csv, did you change the name of the Master OOB to your modified OOB name? The OOB name should not be "oob_Gettysburg_Day1_Jackson.csv." Did you also make the appropriate oob changes in scenario.csv? It plays with the original OOB, without modification, which is puzzling.

I see a better way of grasping this concept.
Start over, create a folder called Weapons1. Create 2 more folders and name them Scenarios and OOBs. Place modded oob in the OOBs folder. Place renamed scenario in the Scenarios folder. Move the Scenario and OOBs folders into the Weapons1 folder. Move Weapons1 into the Mods folder.
Now, when you want more scenarios to play with your weapons1 mod, you move them to your Scenarios folder. If you want to make a new variation of weapons, copy Weapons1 and rename the copy Weapons2. Place your new modded OOB in the Weapons2 folder. Then you can easily see and play different weapon styles by switching mods.
Did this make the picture clearer?
I don't think you need to rename modded OOBs for renamed scenario play. Just make sure what you want to play is highest on the Modifications list.
But, copy the OOB, and rename it for sandbox play. Retain all your modded OOBs in your OOBs folder.
I think this is where you are amiss...you didn't create Scenarios and OOBs folders.I made a "Jackson" folder and put the oob and the renamed scenario in, copied it to "mods", and it appeared on the modifications list but when activated did not appear in User Scenarios. I copied it direct to user scenarios, but it would't open.

Re:SOWGB SDK v1.0
I made the two sub folders as directed. I think I'm nearly there. It is opening as Jackson. I might be overlooking something in altering the weapons entry. I am changing the column "M" entry as per the "rifles" folder, but I see there is a number for each rifle type, and I'm not sure if that goes in the OOB spreadsheet.
Work tomorrow, so I'll check it tomorrow night. If you have anything more, thank you very much, and thanks for taking the time so far. I really appreciate it.

Re:SOWGB SDK v1.0
You have to create another folder called Logistics and place the rifles.csv in there. The new folder is a sub-folder of Jackson.

Yes, any modded logistics files go in a created Logistics folder. Thought just an OOB was being modded. Sorry about that. You have to create another folder called Logistics and place the rifles.csv in there. The new folder is a sub-folder of Jackson.
