Everything is awesome, the toolbar is really cool as are the pictures of the different Commanders !

In one screenshot, it looks like cannon balls hit the fence ? B)

Nope, that's the final toolbar. We had a big fancy one in the earlier builds, something that would make everyone go, oh wow! But I nixed it. I wanted functionality and for it to take up less space. Maybe modders will make something prettier for the graphics, but the focus of the game is not the toolbar, that is just a means to the end.

I appreciate your point and I feel you will not be alone. Maybe the guys will pull out the first toolbar as a mod. It was very good looking.
