Is this what you are talking about, having the roads stand out better?

Or, this one, it barely shows the hoof prints.

I take it FPS is Frames per Second? heck, I don't know. Been in this game for 3 hours now, been engaged for 90 minutes and it's running great, I can't notice any slow down what so ever? 1000 men down in losses, but a 2500 point score....got them yanks on the run...roads could be a little bit more out there, but I've got 58 year old eyess, but no cocktails this evening...
thr reb....
once again, a great job

I really like the second road pic. Much in favour of more contrast in maps. A similar colour for the mini map roads would be good too, IMHO

Absolutely. That's so much better for my poor old eyes :cheer:
The main trouble I had is where roads go through woodland, as you don't get the distance view which helps (me at any rate!) distinguish roads. But this is much better all round.
Thanks

@Martin James, the reb, and Grog - Not a problem, the road-system is now changed to the second picture for the final release.
@Grog - I'll see if the same thing came be done with the Jump-Map , I'm not sure if opening that map, that it will not blur other lines together. I'll probably save that for last.
Jumping Topic Slightly - I really do need a better formations.csv file that would spread the units out farther apart at the start of the game.
This would slow-down all of the units being in the same screenshot, and force the units to march in the same general direction, but using different roads to get there. I tried this before but never could get it exactly right.....Pending!

All sounds good to me. Thanks again.
Spreading out the units would be good. Also, do you know if there's any way to still have divisions of the same corps in the same general area? When playting army level games SP on the Alpine map, the corps seem to be all jumbled-up, and it's a race to consolidate them before they're suck into combat.

Hey Davinci. Another request, if doable. Would it be possible to expand 2 or 3 of the farms to the size of small towns? Or would it muck-up the frame rate?

I think that this is universal, the road-marching seems to mix everyone together. I think that if they could be separated at the start of the game that that would help with keeping them apart.

I try to gauge things by how much is showing on the screen if you take a screenshot. So, as long as there is a little distance between the buildings, then it shouldn't be a major problem.
Now, if it has as many houses as the
Gettysburg town, that might cause a major drop in the
fps when there are a lot of troops and musket-smoke around.

Lovely, Davinci!
What are all those things dotted around the map and that key on the right though??? No need for those.
