There are always growing pains with these kinds of things, so everyone having issues please bare with us.

@Willard - This wasn't about making an extra buck, it was about spreading the word of SOW and giving us more time to make new products while they handle the business side. :)

Willard - Even though you can't uninstall, have you checked to see if you still have SOW files on your machine? Such as, have you deleted your old NorbSoftDev folder? Also were you able to remove the reg entries? When testing clean installs, after I had removed all traces of the game, I installed the full 1.4, installed the matrix patch, entered key, and everything worked. Have you tried that (sorry if you have, hard time keeping up with all the posts)
LP - I never said anything about extra buck...so that must be someone else.

At this point I have installed v 1.5001 and it appears to be working. I used the full instal from the Matrix website instead of trying to patch.

That being said I still can't play MP. It will not let me into the MP lobby at all.

Did you enter your PowerLobby name and password? Sorry for the dumb question, just trying to eliminate obvious causes.

Yeah - even tried to create a new PL name and password with no luck.
I reinstalled 1.4 and than uninstalled while deleting the registy.
Just restarted my PC and now going to try a fresh install.

Ok, it looks like the 1.4 reinstall + the uninstall and regedit it appears to work.
I reinstalled a clean 1.5 new exe from Matrix (not the patch) and that now works.
In order to get MP to play I had to go ahead and delete all the rules from my firewall as well and re-allow SOW access with the new install.

Excellent. Glad you can resume mass consumption of virtual black powder. B)

Huh, I just had a device lost error pop up which I never had before with SOW.

I uninstalled the earlier install I did with the 1.0 to 1.5. and cleaned the registry, and made sure that my NorbSoftDev directory was deleted as well (keep things clean for the new install).

I then installed the full 1.5 download (SoW-Gettysburg-SetupRelease-v150) that you can download when you register the game, and become a member.

I started the game via the launcher (autorun.exe) for the first time, and it started SOW in 1024x768 full screen mode. I setup all the options, then exited out to make my first save.

I started the game again via the launcher, and I received the Device Lost error (mention at the top of this post).

I deleted the SOWGB.ini file to give it a fresh start. I started the game again this time not by using the launcher, but using SOWGB.EXE, and everything is working fine. I decided to give the launcher a few more tries, and everything looks good.

Note: I installed the game to E:\NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War - Gettysburg not to C:\Matrix\Scourge of War - Gettysburg which is the default.

No idea what happened there, just a one time thing I hope.
