D: I'm having a problem with the text being cropped in it's width. I've tried making the letter wider, the font smaller and the format area wider. Any thoughts?

It you mean the text on the courier screen - such as orders...etc...

The text starts at Format - G Column - and ends at Format I Column.

Example:
FORMAT,,,,,,75,60,630,650,0,0,,,&formatted:$param2

Translated - start text at coordinate 75, and do not write text after coordinate 630

Is this what you are referring to?

Yes. I increased the width, Column I, from 600 to 635. Increases the writable area but the text doesn't expand correspondingly. I did get the height right but not in this screenshot.

Frustrating. Can't make this work and I can't take McPherson's Farm with Rodes's entire division. At least the Giants won...

OK, we are talking about the text, and not the actual screen, correct?

You cannot increase the screen area with those values, only the text.

I cannot see any problem with the latest picture, what am I looking for?

I can read the entire message, except for the word after South.

Drop the 75 down to 70 and the 635 to 630.

FORMAT,,,,,,75,60,630,650,0,0,,,&formatted:$param2
My values: FORMAT,,,,,,40,25,600,650,0,0,,,&formatted:$param2.

Notice the 3 in 1863 is cropped. You can see the boundary of the text window. Small issue. Maybe not important. I just know it's there.

I can see three three's and they are all cropped, that is the font that you are using.

Change to a default font, and I'll bet the problem with those numbers go away.

I thought that you were going with the other one that didn't cover the toolbar, that was the best one for your computer specs.?

Sending a few more fonts that I downloaded also included the gamefonts file - all of them are listed - easy copy and paste to test them.

This was the best. I was able to shrink the height so it didn't cover the Toolbar. I just didn't use it in this screenshot.

Aahhhh. This is why you are in command Sir.

I'll check them out although I like this one a lot. Like you told Jolly, it has the look of a hastily written note.

born2see - I found a font editor on the Internet.

Do a Google Search for Type Light 3.0 - Free and it Works, somewhat!

Check out the top picture - notice that the p is cropped on this font, also notice that the s and the i is changed in the bottom picture, and the letter p is fixed.

I just did a quick edit of those letters to see if the results would work.

That is great! Nice find. It's been a lot of work but you've really done something here. I applaud your skill and perseverance in taking this mod from a glitch to something really unique. I'm sure others will agree with me. Keep it up man!
