excellent - but only two people play? if there FOW etc? What happens when a battle begins? You go to MP lobby and wait? How is it linked with the database of unit strengths etc.

Okay. Having completed - I won't say if I won any of them, though! - the two brigade tutorials, the cavalry tut, the artillery tut and the division tut, I consider that I might participate in the MP Campaign without too much embarrassment. Speaking with XNS this afternoon, I was told that there is a mod changing the rifle range to 230 yards, but I am unable to find it. Can someone assist me in this? I'll be out starting tomorrow until the 31st of May, but it would be nice to be able to play in an MP battle. Thank you in advance.

it's not a mod you can just download, as far as I'm aware. It's incorporated into the overall modifications Garnier has made. Honestly, you shouldn't need to practice with it beforehand, it changes little except the range that troops open fire, and there should be less cannister fired overall.

And connor, to answer your earlier query, basically the two players, when they meet for a battle that occurs on the strategic map, can play 1v1 or are free to bring anyone that's sitting around onto their team for that battle.

Also, try not to listen to XNS too much. He is oh-so-proud of the fact that he is computer illiterate, yet still doesn't hesitate to try to 'help' people out with various technical issues. In the end all it does is confuse the newer people to the group.

I'm sure he means well, but if I recall, isn't there a road leading to somewhere that is paved with good intentions?

Actually, go ahead and ignore him completely. We all do our best, and some kind soul even sabotaged his TeamSpeak, but we understand one can only do so much.
