No. I got it from a book that some call the best biography on Jackson....."Stonewall" by Byron Farwell.

The famous task masters horse's given name was Fancy. The horse was acquired in 1861 while Jackson was in command of Harpers Ferry and purchased as a gift for his wife, hence the name.
