No. I got it from a book that some call the best biography on Jackson....."Stonewall" by Byron Farwell.:)

The famous task masters horse's given name was Fancy. The horse was acquired in 1861 while Jackson was in command of Harpers Ferry and purchased as a gift for his wife, hence the name.
