Like I said, it probably corrupted the game files permanantly. So you would have to:i haven't updated for a while though so i don't know what's wrong with it. i just tried it again after doing the exceptions and it still said i couldn't play

i can't deactivate it because i can't even get to the menu at the start. so what am i supposed to do now? i paid 45 bucks to be able to play it when i only had 50 in my account because it's a trusted source.

I think if you turn AVG off and reinstall the game, you should be OK then to get back into the game, and it will still be activated. Then turn AVG back on and make the exceptions if you have not already. Personally, I'd leave the resident shield off. Just turn it on when you feel at risk, downloading, etc.

Not sure what you mean by not seeing anything. You ran the original installer, installed over your current game (while AVG is off), and it didn't work?i tried that and didn't see anything
Re:Runtimer Error and SOW - Problems

Re:Runtimer Error and SOW - Problems
This is a weird one. You can go in and manually delete the game files without messing up the activation. The activation is in a hidden folder under the work folder. So as long as that exists, your activation is still there. Not sure why the game would just start not working anymore. Besides the virus scanners disabling the game for some unknown reason. We are working on making this better.
If the worst happens and you have to just wipe it all out, we can get you back up and running if you email the sowsupport at scourgeofwar dot com with your activation code and email that you ordered from. We do not install files anywhere but the folder that you specify, so it's easy to manually wipe out the installation. But really there's no reason to do that because if you just download again and reinstall, it should just overwrite what's in there.
What ever happens, we'll get it sorted out, so don't worry about losing the activation. Get the game back running first, then email us and we'll do our part.
