By my standards, the AI has enough insect life to keep the Orkin man busy for some time to come. It is better than it was, but has a long way to go. Working on the AI is the most grinding and technically demanding part of developing this type of game. Our objective is to make it "interesting" enough that JC has to wring out his shirt after getting a marginal victory.
I am also working on an angle to allow limited observers into AI games. Not sure if it would work, but we will test the concept to see if it works.

In the GB movie scene of Pickett's Charge there was a British Officer with a little round cap in a red uniform on the confederate side, also read somewhere there was a Prussian officer with the Union artillery. Don't know what their official status was, one would think as observers.
Always played SP and have been curious how others play. Personally I'd love to see how others react(ed) to a scenario I've played. If an observer B) was in a AI game it would be a hell of allot better than nothing at all. I have my own style of play, but I don't know if it would be compatable in MP. Getting chewed up by JC or LP is not something I would look forward too.

I've played chess champions that kept me all tied up in knots, but got to enjoy their style of play. Lessons learned.

Haha yep. I was getting scores of -800 in testing, thinking that this scenario was impossible to beat as the rebs.
But next thing I know, JC is posting an AAR with scores in the +1000.. screen shots of blue bodies scattered everywhere...

How do I access your scenario? Give me a step by step for dummies if you please. Gotta see what this all about.
