Re: Alpine2 - Pending Release Date
Davinci I’m really looking forward to this maps release and seeing the new ground textures in game. Just an idea if It doesn’t affect FPS too much maybe you could place just one small farm somewhere in the centre of the map as a point to capture. Some critter must be living there and farming that lovely countryside.

Hey, Jubal Early how is everything going in the UK .Davinci I’m really looking forward to this maps release and seeing the new ground textures in game. It is sort of a catch twenty-two here, the new ground terrain, along with the grass \ weeds does seem to affect the fps on the larger maps.
I’ve been testing this with thirty-thousand troops per side, and I’m hitting rock bottom on the fps while the units are marching around.
I , think that I’m going to try to release it as is , and then try to take a few suggestions from the community pertaining to what to add \ subtract from the next map.
Basically, I can test this map, all day everyday, but, the final input has to come from the community pertaining to what works and what doesn’t work.
I’m also trying to experiment with adding some type of tree under-growth to the woods, to get away from the manicured look, not having too much success there.
I understand that this is probably not the answer that you were looking for, but for now the objectives will probably have to be certain fields, or roads.

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!
Re: Alpine2 - Pending Release Date
Apart from the ground texture, you don't need to worry about FPS issues since the vegetation is mod-able.
So I say release as is!
So I say release as is!
