1. Speed of response on receipt of courier orders. Although I have found in the past, that there was sometimes a delay in the implementation of orders, I do not find this now. This is regardless of the seniority of the officer concerned. Have just done another test to confirm this, and found that whether I send a courier to a corps, divisional or brigade commander, they respond instantly. In the first 2 cases by sending couriers down the change of commander. In the third case by moving troops. In reality it took ages to get a corps moving or to organise a coordinated attack, with artillery support etc, so I agree a delay for thinking time would be a nice feature. It’s just that I haven’t seen it for a long time, and when I did it was no more than a minute of two, which is a fraction of the time such things really took.
Thanks Martin - very detailed.
Ok, so we are talking about two things. Thats ok, I was geting confused there
There should definitely be a delay after orders. There is on my system. Its anything from a few seconds to a few minutes (couldnt be any more than that or the scenario would end nefore you did anything). The higher the officer, the longer it takes to issue orders.
Only thing i can think of is have you increased the number of AICycles per second? This is a .ini entry that allows the computer think quicker. I'm not sure, but it's not there by default, so if you havent added it, you probably havent changed it. The lower officers think faster because they are doing the fighting.
Just to confirm, when you installed the patch, you had all MODS disabled?
