No those I get it by the barrel from Jim Beam, although I heard it from eyewitness accounts that These two hungry dead rebs are J. C. Edwards and Reb Bugler. Take a look for your self.

lol.... oh no not Reb Bugler we want some more lovely flags!!!! and as for J.C.Edwards he cant go until I've finish Brandy Station!!!

....He likes his cavalry action
Jenkins Ferry OOB's is almost complete - Yellow Bayou is a bit more tricky as the records are not complete..... Mower was assigned to basically take a swipe at the confederates who were harrassing the Union on their retreat - AJ 'Whiskey' Smith was nearby but tired of the haranging rebels he assigned Mower to address this with three brigades of Infantry(Hill Lynch and Shaw) and a Brigade of cavalry(the 4th under Davis)and a couple of batteries of Artillery(under Cockefair) - The confederate make up is rather sketchy to say the least Camille Armand Jules Prince de Polignac(longest name in history!)was the overall Field Commander with 2 brigades (his own under Stone and Grays brigade)and then there was elements of the cavalry there (Bagley and Baylor's brigades) and some detached cavalry and of course artillery (Cornay and Boone and McMahan) - Im reading very carefully through my Red River Books and the Official Records of the rebellion has been of great use, getting there slowley ....By all accounts this was a hum-dinger of a battle until the dry grass/undergrowth on the battlefield caught fire and both forces had to retreat.

Zeke, I got all the OOB info for all units at Yellow Bayou. I can send it to you, or I am willing to do it. If you want to do it, I will pass along known unit strength, Armament, etc, etc. Remember, After Mansfield, the Confederates ditched their Model 1841 6lb's for captured 3in Ordnance and Parrott rifles. Winchester's La (Pelican) Btry got a couple of 30lb Parrotts from Banks' men. I have the O.R. at home and there is a detailed report by Maj. Charles W. Squires, Taylor's Cheif of Artillery. He has a detailed report of what battery had which captured gun, how much expenditure of rounds, etc. I wouldn't be out of line to say that Taylor's Artillery after Mansfield and Banks' subsequent retreat, was the best armed artillery force (field art'y) that the Confederacy had in 1864. Experience, on the other hand, was lacking, but by the time Yellow Bayou was fought, these gunners were experienced in hitting Federal Gunboats, so its safe to say they could hit the broad side of a barn. Cavalry, and Quartermaster supply had greatly benifited as well. I could probably say that Polignac's 1200 - 1600 man division had new Springfields, well I say new, close to it, they were only dropped once! Let me know.

That would be nice to check over with what I have 2nd Tx - Please send it over - many thanks - according to the AAR's from Taylor Polignac's Division he had just shy of "2000 bayonets!!" as he nicely puts it! - got to love Taylor - Smith's treatment of him was disgraceful! The troop quality was varied and his ranks seemed to have been swelled at times by local militia and volunteers that tagged along it has to be said that the quality of these troops was pretty poor - the Cavalry in particular some of the Texas regiments was very good - I have a few OOBs knocking about which I will finish off after these two in particular Henderson Hill, Mansura and maybe Marks Mill (dependant on my playing around with the Supply wagons - which has been rather frustrating)
