I will take requests. AJ - I'll make sure and grab a shot looking West from where the modern day west end guide station is.

I would invite anyone to try their hand with even a modern fountain-pen for two hours - of calligraphy. Your hand gets very tired and your writing gets very sloppy very fast.

If you need to refill that pen, the work doubles.

Also, writing in italics means that a certain angle must be used by the pen to the paper, so the lines are not thick, and if your writing in bold, it is just about impossible.

From the position of Brooke's brigade at the west edge of Rose woods looking west towards Warfield ridge.

From the area where Lee watched Pickett's charge looking toward the Union lines.

Good one's AJ. I'm not 100% sure on where Lee watched Pickett's Charge. I've heard conflicting accounts. Most say that he was in the area where the current Virginia monument is, others have said he watched it from the Cupola of the Lutheran Theological Seminary. What's your take on it?

not to mention it's very tedious if you are a lefty; you have to keep blotting and waiting for ink to dry before you can finish a line. since you're pushing the pen, any time the nib catches on the paper, it flicks ink all over the place. Calligraphy is best suited for right-handers IMO.
