Bugles & Flags XIX

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Incredible work as usual, but I must say the Virginia flag is just fantastic (of course I am a Virginian, lol).

Thank you RebBugler!

Redesigned Florida 2nd and Maryland State. The 2nd Florida regimental flag is built from historical descriptions, no pictures available, as it was captured at Gettysburg and then lost. The Maryland flag previously displayed was wrong for the era, it is replaced now by a museum copy of the 1st Maryland Regimental flag.

Place this mod below Bugles and Flags in Modifications and enable to replace standard resolution flags.

HD ANV 1863 (28 Flags)

Florida 2nd Regt., Virginia 1st Regt., Florida 5th Regt., Tennessee 1st Regt.,
Maryland 1st Regt., Louisiana 5th Regt., Virginia 21st Regt., CS National - Stars and Bars

Reb - Great Job on getting the Tennessee regiment flag included in this bunch!

I also like the way that you did the Virginia flag, it looks battle-worn.

Keep up the excellent work!

Again my compliments sir. Reb you just keep doing what you are doing. I remember playing the old SSI games and man I thought I was in "Civil War Game Heaven". Now every new mod just makes this game better and better. Any hint on Chancellorsville debut? I hope real soon maybe before Thanksgiving? I wait with all the anticipation of a little kid the night before Christmas morning.

Thanks for the continued support Sir. Interesting how this game set me up for my DRF obsession by providing two stock Rebel flags with four size variances...had to be trap, now I'm snared. :woohoo:

We're testing the CV installer as you ask, it's still not ready, and won't be released until it passes SOW testing. Matrix is as anxious as you all in getting it out, so, once the installer passes our tests, it won't be long. :)

Last four added, completing HD flag replacements.

After further consideration I've decided to use these HD flags as replacements for the next Bugles and Flags release, version XI. Although the quantity will be reduced, the quality and number of new designs I feel warrants this change, better representing those DRF's.

Please note that there are two downloads here representing these replacement HD flags. Both versions display the same flags, however they are structured differently for testing. Observe the endings of 2TS and 8TS, this represents the number of texture sheets used in the build. Please test and report which runs best, otherwise, the 2TS version will be my choice as it uses less texture sheets and theoretically should be more efficient.
Thanks for your help here. :)

Place this mod below Bugles and Flags in Modifications and enable to replace standard resolution flags.

HD ANV 1863 (32 Flags) 2 Texture Sheets

HD ANV 1863 (32 Flags) 8 Texture Sheets

Is there any chance you might consider producing a few flags for the Confederate Indian Regiments? I'm an enthusiast for the Trans Mississippi, and this would give my OOBs extra flavour. I could supply details for battle flags for each of the 'Five Civilised Tribes' as they were known (Cherokee, Creek, Semiunole, Choctaw,& Chickasaw).

Regardless of the answer, I'm having great fun with these. Many thanks Reb.
