Wrong, my son.. Here is a real quick demonstration of a custom background. I'm not creative enough to come up with something that looks good but I'll steal one from the game and fill in the blank spot. I'm almost certain that can be done using layers. I just pasted one image on top of the other.

Now, I can see - I didn't notice which background the game was using.

Yes but something which takes up the whole screen. If you look at my screenshot that's my entire screen. I'm just thinking of something which will fill up the blackness. Could be anything. A pattern, a picture, whatever.

That is the resolution that I have, try the file and you will see the difference between my computer and yours using the same picture.

If you could get a picture of a courier on a horse that would look good, but I don't see anything wrong with the picture that you posted of the roundtop.

Considering that you are the one that has to constsntly look at the image, I think that you should pick the view that you like the most.

As far as I can tell, this resolution problem only affects a small amount of people, so all of you should decide on the background view.

I would say that both of them would prefer a Union Army perspective background.

That is why something like the round-top view would be considered neutral.

How about a picture of George "Attack is not in my Vocabulary" McClellan?

Added two more different designs on the first page of this topic.

Only 1024x1024 - may not work with all resolutions.
