keep bringing up new details before the game is released and it'll never happen. ;)

We've been pretty good with feature creep. We've stuck to our plans, but have a heck of a list for the next one. Unless something can get in quickly with no chance of messing anything else up, it just can't happen now.

Do you plan on backfitting Gettysburg after it's released to incorporate the features on that list where the features would be appropriate to GB?

not certain whether my reply was misunderstood but to clarify, i meant the event of AJ's catching a missing detail would never happen as long as those details were continually supplied. While the main functionality of the game looks to be pretty locked in at this point for initial release, the maps are still being massaged to ensure all known details are at least being considered, if not added immediately; and i expect i'll still be working on them right up to when Norb needs to shoo me away from them in order to launch.

You hear that AJ? Keep em coming!

I've always enjoyed verifying specific spots on the maps for Louie.. It's kind of like a treasure hunt or something..

Now you're going to be sorry. I'm going to start a new thread just for map checking.

I belive the long lane is actually the sunken road - Rodes troops were stationed there throughout most of the battle.

You are correct sir. Check it out:

I still wonder why Rodes didn't take part in the charge..

Considering a lengthy absence, some mysterious force has lead me to the Forum today and immediately boot this thread!

Well, well ..... after many many years, I finally know why this lane appeared in a famous version of Sid Meiers’ Gettysburg. Thank you Amish John!:) The lane was featured in the SMG version (mod) as a sunken road including a sunken road terrain bonus. I enjoyed many battles defending that lane. Considering the passionate research Sid Meiers had put into his Gettysburg game, it is a little puzzling why the lane did not appear in his original SMG – did he really just miss it!?

However, I wouldn’t know if anyone here knows what I am talking about. This might be an interesting trivia question for SMG aficionados: What was the name of that groundbreaking SMG mod which included the Long Lane, and who produced it?

Thank you for including the Long Lane in your upcoming game.
