Perhaps it was Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe?
i don't believe so... Japan wasn't part of the Luftwaffe AFAIK B)

Ah hah, I didn't read the post too closely.

I'd suggest Aces of the Pacific, but that's a bit late for what you're suggesting. I bet it's on this list here, if you scroll down to Simulation: http://homeoftheunderdogs.net/theme.php ... =genre&sg=

There were a LOT of flight sims around that era.

Battlehawks 1942! that's it! I've been looking for that forever!

I loved Battlehawks, 1942! A Micropose game, I believe. My first flight simulation game. This game taught me one important thing--my future would be somewhere on the ground.
