Norton may be the problem.( assume it is allowed in windows firewall?) Your operating system and 8gb of ram should run game efficiently. We have had alot of issues with windows 8 on the laptops playing this game. But for some win 8 towers, laptops , and a few "test" tech support battles. We have had success getting machines stable. Just out of curosity , what is your processor speed? Also by the way Scourge of war is on sale til Jan 11th I think. If you have Team speak 3, or Team speak 2. Hollar back, we will get You on TS and Mike & I will do our best to try to get you up and running. Be patient...Will check for a reply every cpl hrs .

Your PC is not the problem, it has plenty of horse power. It sounds like the download is corrupt. Try downloading it again.
