When you register, you install, then log into thier site

and that's the intrinsic problem with this type of system.

What happens when your hard disk fails in 3 years time, reinstall windows, then reinstall your game but you get a message 'auth server not found, installation aborted'.

Norb has indicated above that he won't use this type of authentication anyway (I think!)
