Help!

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

Hmm.. A complete uninstall should have taken care of that.

Ok, maybe you need to uninstall and delete all game directories except for Work. It's possible there are still corrupted files left behind. Make sure you backup your \NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War - Gettysburg\Work folder as it contains your saved games, high scores, etc.

BTW - Have you changed your computer resolution or any other display settings before it stopped working? If you haven't you also might want to try deleting your sowgb.ini file found in the Work folder, which will reset all of your game settings to the default. (back the file up of course if you want to keep your settings and that's not the issue).

There is no ini file in Work. Can I just delete all of them, since I don't have any saved games or high scores yet ?

You might have file extensions turned off. In that case it'll just be a file called "sowgb". Either way, if you are 100% sure that don't have any high scores or saved games to lose then yes, just go ahead and delete the entire "Scourge Of War - Gettyburg" folder after you uninstall.

Add the "Scourge Of War - Gettysburg" folder to the exception list of your anti-virus and/or security software. Then reinstall the game without uninstalling.

I've never heard of that software. You'll need to look in the help files or use google to find out how to make an exception.
