Telescope / Binoculars

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Jeez, how many cats do i have to post. Look into those eyes!
LOL

Hey, this may not be the answer to your problem, but Norb allows the team members to have a great deal of input in new features, why not ask him to implement this in the next install.

Since, I doubt that this install will receive any more new features.

Perhaps the first zoom could be field glasses and the second zoom be through a telescope?

I doubt that that would work, I posted about this before, but forgot until RebBugler mentioned it again, the game is Hard-Coded to freeze the screen when any other screen pops up.

Sort of like when the map-screen is opened, you are not allowed to rotate the view.

The binoculars would have to have the ability to pan around to be of any use.

This would have to be implimented from the source-code. (i.e...Norb)

I have a cheep idea, get a piece of black paper the same size as your monitor, and poke two holes or one if you want the telescope effect, cover your monitor when you put on the binocular effect that is with the game? Just a temporary fix until the real deal comes along. LOL.

I guess it would depend on who is watching you!

Well, were watching you at that time, they are now probably rolling-around on the floor laughing!

I'll keep working on this off and on, as stated by the Reb - running into several problems with the repeated zoom presses.

Basically, I can pull up this screen with the first zoom with one click of a button.

But, I would like to close the binoculars and have the screen back to the original state.
