My pleasure. Anytime I can help let me know. Tracking this stuff down is fun as well as informative. because of this I'm going to start another thread about the Move Unit... command.
Well, it wasn’t the
drills file, amended – units still form \ change formation – without following the leader.
I might be going crazy, but I always thought that I would get a warning…such as “staring blindly at a light”, or “talking to myself”, funny I don’t remember having any such warning….

No. You just go crazy and people start looking at you funny. :woohoo:
My offer still stands. Give me your particulars, including any mods you're using, and I'll be glad to help figure this out.

LOL : I’m trying to keep a low-profile – don’t dare wake up Little Powell.

Rrrrraaaarrrrr.. Who dares to disturb my slumber!
No in all seriousness, I wasn't trying to come off as a hard-ass on our last debate.. It was a valid argument and I'm all about that kind of stuff.. That's what makes this game better.. I wish you could see some of the heated debates we've had on the team during development.
Back on topic; I'm going to try this too Davinci. I don't like the sound of that, and I hope it's not a result of the LOS change. It sounds similar to what artillery does when they get targets in range when moving. They stop, but the commander keeps moving...
Update: Tried to re-create the regiments stopping and their officer continues. I sent a courier message to a brigade, ordered them to move to a terrain OBJ, ordered them to form to a line.. They moved across the map to the location, regiments didn't stop once. No issues here, using stock game, no mods enabled.

Well, if we all agreed on the exact same things all of the time, something is definitely wrong!

Both of you mentioned that you didn’t use any mods, and didn’t run into any problems, can both of you test this procedure with a mod.
Basically, try a mod that has as many edits in various
csv files as possible.
I’m using my custom mod that I have been adding to \ taking from – since the game first came out, so this mod has hundreds of changes.
But, the only way that I can get the regiments to follow the leader is to use the previous
courier file before the latest update.
Thanks,

EDIT Post
Little Powell - if you had to guess which file would you say works closer \ conjunction - to the
courier file than any of the others?

I don't think the courier.csv was touched in the last update.. There's no bugs in our tracking system on it, and nothing was in the changelog. I don't have access to winmerge right now, but you have it, you should check to see if their are any differences in the two versions.. But again, the file shouldn't have been touched.. If it was, it was by accident.

Thanks, but I think that I have determined that the problem is on my end.
After posting the above, I seen a post by
born2see in the Modding Section – he asked about the same question that I asked about here.
He was directed to another topic by
ADukes related to how to correctly move the units with the couriers.
The
procedure has changed, so the units are now required to have a
formation listed in order to move . I just tried this with the mod mentioned above, and it works.
Thanks, for the assistance here, seems that the problem is solved!

OK - Not my week - can someone verify that the courier messages are working \ displaying?
I tried this with my Mod - didn't work!
I tried this without a mod - didn't work!
The Send is working \ the Read is not displaying!
Thanks,

When I sent from the Division Commander to the Brigade Commander I saw the courier but didn't see the message. Since I'm new to couriers I assumed the only mesages I would see were the ones to ME, the Division Commander.

Unless this has been changed, I could view any message in Open Play, now I can't see any in the
Read menu.
I also tried this with a default game \ no mods \ no messages are in the Read menu - but I haven't been doing things right since the release of the newest SDK - but you are not seeing them either.
Hmmmmm.......Where is
Little Powell?
