After the 4th download, I am pleased to announce that everything seems to be working properly.

Now, if I could only replace the damnable carbine and bayonet pointers in the game! (Did get the button cursor changed, but no luck with the others. <S>

Hopefully the OOB issue can now be resolved.

Great to hear you got it straitened out. I suspect your virus scanner was messing with the files.. I would get an exception in your anti-virus as soon as you can.

Interesting, Matt. I have AVG and have never experienced that before. Will check into it.

Thanks to all who offered suggestions and advice. It is appreciated.

It was supposed to be fixed for AVG so I doubt that's the problem.. Really hard to tell what could have messed it up. If it happens again, take note of anything you installed/uninstalled/changed before it happened.

Thank you for working through this with us, we appreciate your patience. Have you ever tried the MD5 thing when you download? It will help tell you if the download is corrupt or not.

Thanks, Norb.

No, I haven't tried the MD5. If I have anymore problems, will look into it.

BTW, two of us played 3 games last night with each one freezing: 1 @ 9.08 minutes; 1 @ 5+ minutes and one at 25+ minutes. We'er at a loss to try and figure out why. Many have suspicions that it may 1.102 and some have discussed going back to an earlier patch. Question is still up in the air.

Thanks, again,

J

You didn't by chance save a copy of your SOWGB.log file? It's in the \work folder. Going back to an earlier patch is a good idea. Try the 1.101 patch first, then the 1.10 if necessary. So far, the team hasn't had any luck in creating this freeze.

I can check the Work folder MTG, but I didn't purposely save any of these games.

If it happens again, go to the \Work folder and immediately save a copy of the SOWGB.log file, (put it into a zip file), and send it to sowsupport at scourgeofwar dot com. In fact it would be best if everyone playing that MP game would do the same. Hopefully, there will be some clue as to the problem in one of them.
