Blue_Grey Mod version01 Beta Version!

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

DaV,

Did exactly that. That's when I got the "corrupted file" message.

Jack
OK, I think that I see where the problem is, the file size should not be that large, it should be roughy 41MB.

So the download may be corrupted, as you have found out!

Yes, it must be corrupted somewhere. I'm getting a download size of 132 MB. A little bit of difference there, I think. Weird.

I got the same file size of 132MB. I went ahead and tried it, and it ran fine. Just to let you know, it downloads as 132, not 41. As to why it is showing it as 132MB, i have no idea.

DaV,

Okay, this is what I'm going to do.

1) download the folder again.
2) Try copying it into my "Mods" folder.
3) if that works, enuf said.

If that doesn't work I'll...

4) back up my logistic files where my mods are.
5) Open the B/G folder and manually install your mods directly into the appropriate areas.
6) then see if that works.

Once more into the breach...

DaV,

Okay, I'm not going to do that. Saw the link change note and will try that instead.

DB,

Just dawned on me what you said earlier. It runs fine even though the folder says it is corrupted. In other words it was all there despite the error message. Good deal.

Note: I hate rapidshare - If you goof up, you have to wait forever to free download again. Sigh...

Oh well,

Hey Davinci !!!

Outstanding job !!!!

Sprites look awesome !!!

I had a problem with memory when I tried a Sandbox game of Army vs. Army. The game started and then abruptly ended. The only Mods I had enabled was yours and Randy's, Bugles & Flags V4.
I loaded the game back up, and played Corp vs Corp, on "Best" detail (on Best, I am sure the Hi Res sprites were being used)and the game played well. I enabled 1 Mod at a time, tried and no issue. Counting your Mod, I had a total of 12 Mods enabled and the game played well.

I did receive the following error in my last battle of the day, restarted the same battle, and this time no error.

08:00:00 14:21:12
08:03:41 PR: (ERROR) DirectX Error in Loading DDS: E_OUTOFMEMORY

08:03:41 Error loading texture C:\NORBSOFTDEV\SCOURGE OF WAR - GETTYSBURG\MODS\ENHANCED MAP ICONS\GRAPHICS\SCREENS\POPUP_MAP.DDS
08:03:41 ERROR LOADING (null)

Once again, your work is incredible !!

:) :)

Keep up the Great work.....

Ok, I downloaded it. It seems to run fine. I see some things that change as it runs though. One is, the uniforms of the black hats are all the same as they start, wkich is good. But, the moment they change formation, the uniforms of some of them change to the slouch hat, dark napsack, and dirty white leggins. Same for the rebs. They go from the very mixed batch, to maybe two or three different styles. Is this suppose to be right? If so, please let me know.

If this is the first downloaded link delete that copy, and use the new link.

Chamberlain - which version is working for you?

This is a real-military-cluster-you know the rest ! Hey, I have messed up worst before, so bear with me on this!

Basically, this Mod is going to depend on a lot of different settings, my settings are as follows.

CPU 2.4 Quad
Memory 3GB
ATI Video Card
Windows Vista

I’m able to play any Corps vs Corps battle on a custom OOB, so this will probably not work on another OOB with all of the extras.

I’m able to have nine confederate uniforms, with I think five union uniforms, but I also had to cut a few corners, such as replacing the officer with a regular soldier.

While marching the fps will drop down to approximately 12-15 [/b] – but once the fighting starts, most of the units are no longer using the roads – so the fps will slightly go back up! When both armies are sing the roads they are a major system hog!

Basically , what I’m going to have to do is to release a couple of different unitglobal files that has different uniform settings .

Such as, nine uniforms , seven uniforms , five uniforms …etc

This will give the player more options when loading the game!
