New map looks like it will be great to play "King of the Hill."

I don't like to be the bearer of disappointing news, but the new Patch did not stop the infantry regiments from running on their own. They're still doing it.

It's not enough to keep me from having lots of fun with the game, but I thought you guys would want to know.

This happens due to units walking through each other but they don't stop running after clearing. It is addressed and will be fixed in the next beta patch.
And it is fixed and they stop running after clearing.

 I must admit, I didn't watch to see if they stopped running on their own.

Sorry about that.

Thank you for correcting me ADukes.

Jus' wanted to say "Thank you" for the hard work and the map! I have already gotten a lot from the map and the OOBs. Really very much appreciated! :)

Hey Norb and Company,
I downloaded the new patch. It crashed about 15 minutes into the game. I read about Red Bugler's Mod not being compatable with the new Confederate uniform mod, so I undid all the mods and reinstalled the new patch, which probably wasn't necessary. And every thing is beautiful and working great. I'll add the mods back one at a time until something doesn't click. The new map is hudge and gives one plenty of time to get into trouble disobeying orders to find the right spot to attack the opposition. BZ26V

As was requested by RebBugler, I post here about a crash to desktop in MP two days ago. We were 6-8 players playing on the Alpine Map. After about an hour into the game some of us crashed to the desktop. More specifically, if I remember correctly, RichMac said, he dropped to the desktop (the same effect if you would use alt+tab), got back to the game and finally crashed again to the desktop. Concerning me, my game just crashed with an error message.
I wouldn’t relate this crash necessarily to SOW, but to the big oob we used in this game or to the occasional idiosyncrasies of Windows. The oob had about 100000 men, but kg_sspoom might have the correct numbers because he was the host and I don’t have access to the specific oob.

Generally MP was very stable in my experience in the last weeks. For example last night we had a quiet epic battle with an 82000 men oob which was stable till the end. Unfortunately I have no screenshots but it was real carnage there with heavy fighting on both flanks and over 33000 dead or wounded left on the field :cheer: .

Thanks.

Since the new patch MP games have been tougher to get going and the game will freeze up. I've only had 2 or 3 games freeze up on me, but that rarely happened before. I played 3 games on Sunday and they all ran fine. This week I've played and have had some of the above problems.
I think I liked the last version better.

I'm with Rob Wheat on this one. I was in the big game the other night also. I have only had problems with the Alpine map in MP, crashing several times. However, it may have been the larger OOB's in use also. I was happily suprised when I was able to actually play through most of the game. Then we had the server crash earlier tonite in the middle of a coop game with myself, Spkr, and Willard.
My 2 cents.
